Prediction and inference

An inference is a logical conclusion based on what has been stated in the text. Information which is provided must be analyzed in order for you to understand what is not directly stated or hidden between the lines. In other to infer, you need to use your experience, knowledge, common sense and power of reasoning to draw logical conclusion.

Predicting is an important reading skill as it will enable you to enhance your understanding of the text by anticipating what will happen next. Predicting can be done by using what you know about the text, plot, setting, characters, issues and relating them to your own knowledge to figure out possible outcomes.

Miss Zu was showing different video and we were required to predict what will happen next. It is funny; sometimes our prediction is largely different from the reality. Miss zu ensure us, to think carefully before making prediction and inference from what we were shown rather it is a video clip or a movie or even when we read a book.

Making inference and prediction is not a s easy as we say, it need a lot of thinking and clue to be link in way to make a correct one.
